I have more than three years of experience as a tutor. I love my work because it allows me to engage in an individualized learning environment with students. I believe that working with a tutor provides students with the best opportunity to improve their understanding of a subject. I like to balance my tutoring sessions between writing exercises and conversation. I think that sessions are the most productive when they are oriented to a specific task. My goal as a tutor is to teach my students how to become better learners, while providing support for them along the way. I enjoy working with students who are struggling and students who are looking to improve their grades. My specialty is with English (focus on writing) and History. I recently earned my Bachelor of Arts in History at Manhattan College. In my free time, I enjoy improv comedy, cooking, writing, and film.
