Experience
I attended Hofstra University to earn my master's degree in linguistics. Prior to that, I went to Bowling State University where I earned my bachelor's degree in German and film studies. I've tutored a number of different students at all ages and levels of ability. Between college and graduate school, I was able to work as an au pair in Germany and Guatemala. During this experience, I tutored several children. I've also helped my peers learn topics we were studying as an undergraduate, and I helped Chinese international students with English. I understand how difficult it can be to learn languages. I specialize in English and German. I find tutoring extremely rewarding for myself, and when students experience success and reach their goals, they are rewarded as well. I take a lot of pride in my ability to help students work through learning obstacles, and have fun along the way. In my free time, I like to travel, read, play tennis, and play with my dog. Other interests include archery and languages.
