Education is a priority for me, and I think that any student can succeed academically with determination and the right strategy. As a tutor, I believe that while knowledge is important, it is not in itself enough to succeed. One must have motivation to excel in the classroom. I have tutored students of various backgrounds and ages (8 through 17) in various subjects. I have tutored science, middle school math, beginner cello, and high school French, to name a few. I can also tutor test preparation for the subjects tested by the PSAT and SAT, and assist with writing college essays. My strength is that I can patiently guide each student and maximize our time together. Every student can reach their academic goals, and I would love to help! I am from Long Island, New York, and am studying biology and mathematics with a minor in anthropology, global health and environment (GHE), at Washington University in St. Louis. I also shadow at the Barnes-Jewish Hospital emergency department, as well as work in an infectious disease lab on campus. I've learned quick decision-making in these positions. During my free time, I enjoy attending sketch comedy and improvisational comedy groups, reading, writing, and scuba diving.
